Since 2010, Pedal the Cause has donated over $40 million through their annual cycling challenge to fund innovative cancer research in St. Louis at their beneficiaries - Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children's Hospital. That money has funded over 200 adult and pediatric cancer research projects, leading to expanded treatment options for patients, new therapies, personalized medicine and cures. Within five years of investment, for every $1 Pedal the Cause donates to fund cancer research, an additional $12 is obtained from external sources, like the NCI or NIH, to further advance these cancer research projects, in turn creating half a billion dollars in cancer research funding in St. Louis.
